Building Trust Through Design

11/11/2025

Technology alone won’t solve the challenges of online identity. What really matters is trust — and trust begins with design.

At BODI, we’re developing prototypes that help people understand what data they share and why. Our approach is privacy by design: minimal data, clear consent, and transparency at every step.

We believe that digital identity should empower people, not track them. That’s why we’re involving users early on — through workshops, public events, and open testing — to make sure the tools we build reflect real needs and values.

Follow our updates as we move from concept to pilot, shaping a more trustworthy digital future together.

Five Reasons Why You’ll Want a Digital Identity

Digital identity isn’t just for tech enthusiasts. It’s something that can make everyday life smoother, safer, and more transparent. Here are five reasons why it matters:

  1. Less paperwork – Prove who you are once and reuse that information across services.
  2. More control – Decide exactly what you share, and with whom.
  3. Better privacy – Reveal only what’s necessary (like “18+”), not your full ID.
  4. Faster access – Sign documents, log in, or register for events in seconds.
  5. Future-ready – Governments and companies across Europe are moving toward secure, interoperable digital ID systems.

In short, a digital identity gives you convenience without compromise.

Upcoming Event: Digital Identity at HAN University

Mark your calendar! On Thursday, March 14, the BODI team will host its first public event at HAN University of Applied Sciences in Arnhem.

The afternoon will feature talks and discussions about the digital identity wallet, including live demos of early prototypes. Students, researchers, and professionals are invited to explore how we can prove “just enough” about ourselves online — and why that matters.

Expect a mix of short presentations, open debates, and hands-on sessions about topics like privacy-by-design, interoperability, and trust in digital ecosystems.

Registration opens soon on our website.

The BODI Project Has Officially Started

10/11/2025

We’re thrilled to announce that the BODI Project has officially kicked off! Over the next few years, we’ll explore how digital identity can make online interactions safer, simpler, and more privacy-friendly.

Together with our partners from education, government, and technology, we aim to design new ways to prove who you are — without oversharing your personal data.

In the first phase, we’ll prototype and test a digital identity wallet, a tool that allows users to share only the information that’s necessary, such as “I’m over 18” or “I’m a teacher,” while keeping everything else private.

BODI combines research, design, and real-world testing. Stay tuned as we share our progress and invite others to experiment with us.
